• This seemed like an update to PayPal Checkout Gateway. It’s not. It’s a whole new plug-in. Now I have two almost-identical-looking-to-customers PayPal payments listed on the checkout page. This one, without warning, offers Venmo to clients. I don’t want Venmo.
Don’t install this plug-in! It will cost you a couple hours of configuration headaches until you rip it out anyway in frustration.
This is not ready for prime time.

    Hi @barryha,

If you don’t want to provide certain funding sources such as Venmo, that’s not a problem.
You can disable all of the alternate payment methods like Venmo, Pay Later, Credit Cards, etc. through the Disable funding sources setting.
It’s the equivalent of the “Hide Funding Method(s)” setting in the previous PayPal Checkout plugin.
We are working on making this feature a bit more descriptive as all possible alternative payment methods are provided by default. But you have full control over which ones should be available.

Since both plugins provide similar functionality, we recommend not using them together anyway.

If you have any questions regarding the plugin setup or need further support, then I suggest opening a support ticket with us:

    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
