%currentyear% variable not available anymore

We are afraid to say the relevant template variable has been removed from Yoast SEO as it could be abused easily by using it in the title without even updating the content and as such, it was removed from the plugin.

That said if you’d like you could create your own template variable. You can find the relevant guide here: https://yoast.com/help/list-available-snippet-variables-yoast-seo/#creating-custom
