    Hello,

I’m trying to use this plugin to import quite a large file (about 51GB) into a fresh site. I’ve read the other threads, and have already increased each PHP setting that you recommended, and confirmed that the changes took effect using phpinfo().

    My values are as follows:

    • upload_max_filesize – 60000M
    • post_max_size – 60000M
    • memory_limit – 60000M
    • max_execution_time – 0

When uploading in the plugin, the text beneath also indicates that the max file size is 59GB which is roughly what I set it to. There is nothing in my debug log indicating what is going wrong; it just stops abruptly, and at an inconsistent point each time. Please let me know if there are other values of my config you would find helpful, or what other troubleshooting steps you’d like me to take to resolve this.

    Thanks!

The settings look fine to me. When you said that the import stops, is it the import or the upload of the backup file?

I’m going to the “Import” tab, then selecting “Import from”–> file, selecting and opening my .wpress file, and then the progress bar that pops up at that point is what keeps stopping around 25-35%. It’s the lightbox with a red “stop import” button beneath it. Let me know if that helps or if I should try to get a screen capture!

I understand, it happens while uploading the backup.
Your php settings look fine to me. Perhaps the problem is in your webserver configuration or your hosting provider has restrictions on your account and changing php configuration does not remove these restrictions.

Hi! Unfortunately I don’t think that’s the case; I’m not doing this on a server but in my own local environment. Is there anything else that might be causing this, or any other info I can provide to help troubleshoot?

    Hi,

Same problem over here: import stops at 87% for restoring/replacing files.

Status of this topic is set to resolved, what is the solution here?

    Regards

@georgehulst Unfortunately I never got this resolved and had to use another method (WPEngine has a migration plugin, but it’s server-specific so it may not be helpful to you in this case). Best of luck!

George, please create a new support topic. Your issue is different – happens while restoring content, not while uploading the file.
