    Hey,

I switched from YOAST to MATH RANK SEO a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I just realized that all meta titles get ignored (usually I edit those only) since the change. All my posts and archives are indexed with their original titles now. They metas are displayed in source code correctly, but not in the SERPs. They were set when published.

Some landing pages show fell from 50 impressions / 30 clicks daily to 0 in the stats.

What could block the plug-in from working properly? I double-checked the settings and there is nothing that seems to be missing or switched off accidentally. Usually my meta is too long (red) but this can’t be reason, can it?

I use recent WP version, but my theme is quite old (I am about to update it). It worked with Yoast properly, but I am not sure what to look for.

EDIT: the optimized title was forwarded correctly to social media.

    Hello @pupilla,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

It is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results and we even have a KB dedicated to this problem and a few solutions we recommend: https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/

Please check the KB and you will understand the reasons Google does this.

Google has made some changes to their algorithm which automatically changes the titles, discarding the one you have set in your SEO title meta tag. This happens regardless of the SEO plugin you are using. We have covered this Google update here:
    https://rankmath.com/google-update/google-title-rewrite-update/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
