Not being able to display any chinese characters

  • I am having an issue with displaying Chinese characters on my website. All Chinese characters just turned to ???? right after I typed into each post. An example would be https://pigoutyvr.com/2021/02/17/tang-yuan-with-matcha-lava-filling/. The title is showing as “Tang Yuan with Matcha Lava Filling (??????)”

    I tried to contact my host, and they weren’t able to figure out the problem. If anyone can help to resolve my issue, that would be much appreciated!

    I hope you are doing good.

    Basically, the problem is probably that your database character encoding is different than UTF-8. The fix is discussed on the page linked above.

    Please make sure to make a backup of your site and database before you start making changes!
