How to translate “Value must be less than or equal to” woocommerce

I’ve looked into the woocommerce translation and haven’t found this sentence so I still haven’t managed to found any solution.

For changing text, we generally suggest using a translation plugin, such as Loco Translate. This will allow you to find that phrase and change it to be what you’d like.

Just to check on the origins of this message, are you using a plugin that adds restrictions on minimum or maximum product quantity for purchases?

If yes, I would suggest:
* Trying to search inside that plugin on Loco Translate
* Getting in touch with the plugin authors to see if they have a more direct way of changing the text for you

If you don’t recall installing such a plugin, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status for further checks? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

the only 2 things I’m using that is connected with quantity input is ”
Qty Increment Buttons for WooCommerce” and custom code for max quantity input.

In this case, I’d recommend that you first check in the custom code for the max quantity input if there’s such a string. If you find it there, you can directly edit it.

If it’s not there, you’ll want to trace the error manually through a conflict test.
This is whereby you switch to a default WP theme like Twenty Twenty-One and deactivate all plugins apart from WooCommerce then repeat the action that led to this error before. If it’s not present, you’ll want to reactivate the theme/plugins, one-by-one, checking for the one that leads to the issue.

So I’ve looked into custom code of a plugin for max quantity, but there is no message written in there, to translate.. I’ve even disabled all of my plugins and swtiched theme, but found no solution to it… The message is still there and I dunno how to fix it ??

* When you were doing the conflict test, do you mean that after you switched to a default WP theme (Twenty Twenty-One) with all plugins disabled apart from WooCommerce, the error still showed?

* Is it possible to share a screenshot of the error when you only have Twenty Twenty-One and WooCommerce running?
* Also, is there a way we can reproduce it on your site?

There might be a little misunderstanding… There is no error on the page, there is only a “Notice message”, when a user will add more products in the cart than the actual stock of the product (either on single product or cart)…

Doing a conflict test can also determine where the message is coming from – it doesn’t necessarily mean there is a problem. That said, please temporarily switch to a default theme and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. If that the message doesn’t appear on that environment, then re-enable plugins one-by-one until you find the one that’s showing the message.

So I really have no idea where this message is comming from, either it’s default woocommerce, wordpress or browser’s.

Based on the info shared so far and after testing on my personal testing site with the latest WooCommerce version and the Twenty Twenty-One theme, this seems to be coming from some custom code.

One last check, you mentioned having custom code for max quantity input.

the only 2 things I’m using that is connected with quantity input is ”
Qty Increment Buttons for WooCommerce” and custom code for max quantity input.

What happens when you comment out this code?

Hmm that’s really wierd, I’ve disabled all of my plugins except woocommerce, switched to default theme and also deleted my custom code but still I’m getting the same message…

Thanks for running through all of those tests. I tried pulling up a product on the site, but I kept getting a maintenance message on the product-related pages.

It’s possible that the message is coming from the browser. I’ve seen that happen on number (quantity) inputs like that in the past. Here’s an example of a product on my test site. If I try to submit the form with a value larger than the maximum, Google Chrome will pull up a message like this.

Here’s what it looks like in Firefox:

That typically is set by the language preferences in the browser. If I change the language in Firefox’s settings to Spanish, this is what I see:

Try changing the language in your browser’s settings and see if that affects this message. Let us know what you find out.

It’s defautl browser’s message then… And it only works on windows.
