Could you please check what’s the image URL in the editor, after you selected it?
If you see the correct URL, and you can see the image in the Preview, you could just run a plugin and theme conflict test:

because there should be some conflict, that messes up our frontend. If you figure out which plugin/theme is responsible, please tell me its name and I’ll run some tests.

If the URL isn’t correct in the editor, you should try to remove the whole layer, and try to insert it again.

If the slider is wrong even when all other plugins are disabled, using a default WordPress theme, please export it:

and send it to us via:

to see if we can reproduce the problem.
