Drop down navigation with sub-nav in the left column

  • I know the next version of WordPress is going to have drop down navigation management (at least that’s the rumor) so that’s cool. But I’m wondering if anyone knows of a way to have drop down navigation and then manage additional sub-navigation for pages that will then appear in the left column of the page.

    Any help on how to do this would be appreciated. Anyone know when the next version is set to be released?
