I run a feature on my website where I insert thumbnail images (in shortcode) from NextGen Gallery. My standard setting has been to let users open thumbnails in the lightbox effect called Fancybox. However, Fancybox doesn’t work any more. I can’t figure out what causes it. It seems like the only effect that is working, is Simplelightbox. I have cleared all kinds of caches and still can’t figure out what’s going on. I run the Divi theme builder and W3 Total cache.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @sandalsand,

I’ve checked it with the link that you have provided and it appears that Fancybox works well for me. Can you please try to open the gallery page using the browser’s incognito window to see if that’ll change anything?

We also hope that you wouldn’t mind letting us know more more details of your environment like the device, browser and OS that you are using.

    Thanks

Thanks for responding. I went through all my plugins and was able to find the culprit. One particular setting in another plugin had been changed, and resulted in a fawlty Fancybox. I turned that setting off, and now it seems to work properly.

The problematic plugin is called WP External links. If one activate settings for internal links, NGG’s Fancybox will get disabled. Like I wrote in my first message, the Simplelightbox would still work. I just deactivated internal links in this plugin.

    So case is now solved.
