    I’m selling subscriptions using WooCommerce Subscriptions. When vaulting is enabled (as it must be), the initial payment attempt always fails for subscription purchases.

    I’ve discovered that the option to “save card” doesn’t appear until after the first payment fails. Because that option isn’t available, the payment fails. So far, we’ve lost a couple hundred in a few days due to this issue.

    Hi @jayt52,

    Only registered users can vault a payment method.
    During the initial checkout when the user is not logged in, he won’t see the checkbox to save a card. Subscription orders will automatically create a user account and after the site refreshed, the user will be automatically logged in.
    Only when the user is logged in with an account, they get the opportunity to save a card.
    I will discuss with our developers how we could improve this flow.

    Please do. This is a pretty significant problem.

    Yes, we’re experiencing the same thing for new Subscription purchases in latest PayPal Payments version.
