    Thank you for reaching out to us; I think this error can be easily avoided. For me, this issue occurs sometimes when I have vaulting enabled and I don’t define the account I want to pay with. Can you try disabling vaulting and seeing if the error still shows?

    Let me know if this fixes the issue or if we need to try something else.

    If we disable the vaulting the woocommerce subscription payment won’t work. We already enable the vault on our PayPal account here’s the screenshot https://prnt.sc/1tc1atd

    Hi @augustus1996,

    That’s correct, with vaulting disabled, subscription features are not available. Did you maybe test this with a product that has a free trial period?
    PayPal currently does not return a token for zero sum payments, so you can only buy a product with a free trial when a token has already been vaulted previously.

    Could you please enable logging in the plugin settings and try again to see if any logs are created with more information?

    The plugin log files can be accessed from here:
    WooCommerce > Status > Logs > select “woocommerce-paypal-payments-[…]” in the dropdown and click on view.

    We are aware of an issue that affects the tokens required for using vaulted Card Processing and this seems to be related to it. We already have a ticket open for this bug and have linked your ticket to this as well (in order for you to be kept up to date).

    The issue was found with another merchant and seems to be linked to the failure to create a token that is needed to link the account to the plugin. This is going to be investigated asap, but since we are in the middle of a release (1.6.0) there are many other tasks that require our developers’ attention. We will push the dev’s to pick this up for the 1.6.1 release, so it will take some time before this issue will be fixed. I would advise you to instead use the PayPal Checkout plugin instead until we have fixed this bug.

    Once we have any fix available for you, we will let you know (and ask if you want to use this to test the fix). I am sorry that I can’t resolve this issue straight away for you, but we are working on it and will keep you in the loop.
