For some reason I cannot create multiple headers and show them on certain pages.
For example, I have a homepage header which is transparent with white links to be shown on the frontpage, and I have a white header with black links to be shown on all content pages.

I can create the headers, but when I try to edit the content page header (white one) it edits ALL the headers and NOT the white one.

When looking at the customizer options it doesn’t let me switch between custom headers and instead the “loading icon” keeps spinning, see screenshot:

I thought it was to do with using a child theme, so i switched it to the parent them and it DID work for a few minutes, but once i made a change to one of the headers it broke.

I can’t believe this has not been fixed yet.
    ???

  • Hi @singhwise!

    Thanks for choosing Neve!

The changes made within conditional headers can’t be seen in Customizer view, but only after publishing the page. In Customizer view, the header that is selected at that moment in Header -> Global Header Settings -> Select Header will be displayed on all pages, even if another header is set for a certain page. This means that if you change the style of the selected header, that style will be displayed on all pages in Customizer view so it may seem like the style is changed for the other header too. However, the conditional headers are properly displayed after publishing the page. I hope this makes sense. I tested the conditional headers on my test instance and they are working as expected – front page, the rest of the pages.

Regarding that loading icon and for any other questions you may have, as you use Neve Pro, please contact us by opening a ticket for the Pro version of Neve. This way we will be able to troubleshoot and solve the issue quicker and more efficiently.

Thank you and have a nice day!

@luciamarinescu That’s what I’ve been doing. I make the changes within customizer and then publish to view the changes, but it does not work as expected.

    Hi @singhwise!

    Thanks for clarifying!

This is indeed a strange behavior. As I mentioned above, please contact us by opening a ticket for the Pro version of Neve in the members area. This way we will have more tools at hand to troubleshoot and find out what caused this in the first place.

Thank you! Have a great day!
