Stripped line break tags in agent reply emails

Hello
When agent replies the ticket, the client gets an email with the full reply, however, the reply that goes trough {message} tag is stripped of line breaks, which makes the email very hard to read as everything is compressed into one big paragraph.
Is there any possibility for {message} tag in emails to remain all the <p> and <br> formatting, because it seems that other HTML tags like <b> or <i> work without any issue.
