Add content to a category

  • Hi,
    I want to configure and style the way a category page lists posts and I want to add some additional information when someone clicks my categories.

    Please advice. How do I go about doing this ?

  • What theme are you using? Some themes specifically have a category.php template file that you can edit to only change those category pages. Others use index.php or a different template file.

    So if you don’t already have a category template file, you can create one by copying your index.php and changing the name of the copy to category.php to get your Category Template.

    From there you can freely edit that category template file to add more content or change how it is displayed without affecting other pages of your site.

    No problem, Atahualpa doesn’t have a category template file, so you’ll have to copy index.php and create one.
