    configuration: subdomain network

We recently enabled the multisite network functionality on our site. However, whenever I add a new subdomain the new dashboard brings me to this message.

“The requested URL was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an Error Document to handle the request.”

I triple-checked the .htaccess file rules and the wp-config file, and they match what I was given during the conversion.

I did see there were other answers to my query, however I could not find a solution from 2021, only 2020 and back.

At any rate, any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi @ironsky22

I hope you are well. Have you made sure your subdomain points to the same directory on the server that your WordPress install is hosted from?

And to confirm, your .htaccess file had been changed to the multisite version under Network Admin > Settings > Network Setup?

    Cheers
