The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content

  • I am having this message appear when I try to upload my photos on wordpress “The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2021/08.” I have looked at the permissions in FTP but they are showing 755 for the uploads folder…

  • @brownjv14 Change the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problem, try 767, 775 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again.

    Ive come to realize that was the issue, on the line with hosting provider support! before I had this issue it was the file permission.. have to look more careful next time! lol
