• I have read a lot of postings on this topic. The majority suggest the opposite — integrate web site into WP. I understand the logic for this, realize WP can do nearly everything, and I plan to head this way when I have more time. I am looking for an interim solution and am stuck on how to do it.

Today my website is 100% php and I manage it in Dreamweaver. Site is https://patrickweb.com/. Most of the content is static although there are some DB pages and js pages that I need to think about. I manage my blog in Movable Type and have a php include on my homepage that is the index.php page created by the MT template. I want to do the same thing with WP but can’t figure out how.

Here is what I have done so far. Installed WP at Dreamhost where my site is hosted. Exported blog from MT and imported to WP. The WP blog is at https://patrickweb.com/wordpress/. As the interim plan I want a theme that produces the same thing as my MT template — a pretty vanilla rendering — and then to include that in home page same as I now do with MT.

Any suggestions on how to accomplish this would be much appreciated. Again, I do realize that the right long term solution is to integrate my web site into WP.
