  • Hello @thefalcons ,

Thanks for reaching out to Site Kit support team.

The “google_api_connection_fail” notice may indicate that something at host level or outside your WordPress installation is resulting in you not being able to setup Site Kit.

In order to troubleshoot this issue can you please share your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred. Please include your current hosting provider where requested if using the form.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hello @thefalcons ,

Thanks for sharing Site Health information.

This is more likely an issue at the host level. It looks like you have a Windows setup, with other users reporting encountering the same issue based on their PHP configuration.

In order to proceed with Site Kit setup can you ask your host provider if there are any restrictions such as WAF rules or PHP/SSL configurations which are not allowing your site to connect to https://sitekit.withgoogle.com?

If your host provide isn’t able to provide any additional insights feel free to share a video or screen recording of your experience, with Chrome developer tools open, showing any console errors which appear. You can use a service such as RecordIt or Loom to share.

    Hello @thefalcons ,

Just checking-in here, were you able to setup Site Kit?

Please ask your host to apply following command in wp-cli just to make sure your server is not blocking Site Kit service for communication.

    wp eval 'print_r(wp_remote_head("https://sitekit.withgoogle.com"));'

    Thanks & Regards,
