Image Aspect Ratio

This plugin came with the template I purchased (although I upgraded to cooked pro) however the way Cooked Pro displays the images clashes with how the template displays recipe post thumbnails. Here are example pages to show the difference:

This kind of prevents me from using the Cooked Pro category pages because all my images are getting cut off. But it’s a bit inconvenient having to make a new category page in the template every time I make a new category.

Is there a way to update the aspect ratio of the plugin to make it more like the template pages (first link) ?
