We are sorry to hear of the issue. Yesterday, we have released a hot-fix for NextGen Gallery meant to resolve a PHP 5.6 incompatibility while WP Debug was enabled.

We hope that you wouldn’t mind updating to the latest version of NextGen Gallery then trying to upload a batch of images again to see if that will resolve the issue.

With NextGen Gallery 3.15, WordPress 5.8, Firefox 91.0.1, Safari 14.1.2
the error still exists.

In addition, there is this problem:
Can’t edit Thumbnails.
Error message:
“Select the area for the thumbnail from the picture below.”
But “Select” is not possible.

The same Problem with: NGGallery 3.3.0

Could you please let us know which PHP version is your site currently using?

Also please provide us with a full-screen uncropped screenshot in order to understand where the issue is located and provide you with guidance.

With WordPress 5.8.1, PHP 7.4, NGG 3.15 (all new update).
Without NextGenPlus 1.5.7 (deleted).
Everything works correctly again.
