Posts are not showing up on Front Page

  • I just tried to do several posts and realized that they were not showing up on my front page.

    I then realized that my timezone was changed
    And my title in my general settings was gone.
    And then my rss-digest plugin was switched back to the uncategorized category from what should have been my “Da Juice” category.

    So I finally wondered if my experimenting last week with switching themes might have done something to it. I’m confused. It looks like someone is either hijacking my site to be honest or someone tried to shut it down.

    But I’m hoping it’s just the theme switching that has caused this?
    Any suggestions? I want my posts to get on my front page eventually…

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?
