Images to open in new windows from gallery

  • Hey guys, how do I set up the default wordpress gallery so when people click on image thumbnails, it opens in a new window (tab as the case may be)? I currently have it set so users can view the raw image, but I dont like how it opens in the same window.

  • Hello, would like to know about this myself too. Is there a filter that can be put in functions.php which causes images shown in default wordpress gallery to be opened in a new page (if they are linked directly to the image and not the attachment page)

    Would appreciate the code for the same.
