Product description isn’t updating

    Hi, I’m experiencing a very weird issue here, some of my products are do update their product description, but some aren’t. Why this could happen?
    It’s only the product description that have this issue, the short description gone well

  • Try to updating your woo-commerce to the latest version and deleting any cache build in sever some time that also causes issue

    In most cases, this happens due to caching, as hinted above.

    You’ll first want to check for any caching plugins that you may have and purge all cache from it. If you don’t have any, reach out to your host and ask them to clear any server-side caching.

    After that, clear your browser cache and check whether the issue persists. You can also use an incognito/private browser window to check.

    If the issue persists even after clearing all cache, it could require further checks so please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Hi, I run on WooCommerce 5.5.2 and using WP Rocket for caching plugin, unfortunately after deleting any cache didn’t make any changes, the problem still persists

    This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
    The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    On woocommerce product page, many of the things are dynamically called. due to that Sometimes customization has some bugs.

    The plugin you used give you a feature to modify a single product page. I would recommend post this query to that plugin forum. They will be the best in helping you.

    I know this is closed. but the solution is not provided. I faced the same problem, but found the problem is an extra record in the wp_postmeta table with key: “_elementor_data” and the product description is stored inside the json in the value field.

    I tested that if I create a new product I don’t have this problem, the problem happens only with sample products preloaded with the theme I use. If I create a new product, no “_elementor_data” record is created for such products.

    Not sure you problem is same as mine, but hope it shed some lights on your problem.
