Duplicate Permalinks

    Hope you are doing well..

    I got an issue where sometimes the permalink of my newly created post is a bit weird, i.e. WordPress adds an extra “value” at the end of the permalink, for example: https://kiindred.co/toddler/behaviour/5-tips-for-calming-sibling-chaos-2 (the “-2” at the end was added by WordPress)

    I know it is normally happened when WordPress found an identical URL in the system. However, I checked thoroughly and I did not find any identical one, so I came back to the post and removed the “-2” manually, and I could do it without any error thrown at me & “update” the post, and now the post permalink is https://kiindred.co/toddler/behaviour/5-tips-for-calming-sibling-chaos, which is perfect.

    Does anyone know what was happening there? I assume there’s a bug in WordPress, if true, is there anyway we could fix it?
