I have a GD hosting account on which I swapped out my primary domain. With some manual link creation, I can get to the pages of the old blog under the new domain, as in newdomain/wordpress/page.htm

However, I am unable to get into the admin pages, getting a Page Temporarily Unavailable message. Yes, I should have backed all of this up before I swapped the name out. 70% of what is on the old blog will transfer over to the new one. I do plan to reinstall WP.

That being the case though, how do I get into the admin pages so I can pull the code out of the old blog?

    Thanks,

Holy smokes! I changed a couple of the fields in one of the database tables. and Voila, it is now all pointing to the new URL.

Some of the content that is still specific to the new URL needs to be changed, but I am ahead several hours in being able to avoid my original plan of uninstall/reinstall.

I had no idea this was possible. That is the power of the forum.

    Thank you so much
