Good, but lacks a thing or two

Random banners and logos are rare in many themes now. Could you please write to us to let us know how can that benefit you?

The default WordPress themes and my last theme, ColorMag, all have the option to randomize the banner (not the logo, though, since I think that shouldn’t be changing too much on a stablished website). Maybe this isn’t possible with Astra right now because it’s just being treated as a logo, not an actual banner, but I keep using it as a banner since that’s the way it has been with my last theme. I suppose separating the option to customize the logo and the banner would be the “right” way to do it on Astra.

I completely understand your request.

But the majority of our users prefer using it as it is and have not requested something like this. Adding features that not everyone may use will only add some extra bloat to the theme. This is why we advise users to couple the theme with a third-party plugin in case that serves their purpose. ??

Nevertheless, we are always open to feedback and I’ll definitely take this across to our team to see if it can be considered anytime in the future.

Alright, but is it really a “bloated” feature when the default theme has it? Also, nobody is going to use something you don’t offer, so it’s pointless to point out what Astra users prefer, since they didn’t have the choice to begin with. Anyway, as far as I have searched, there’s no such plugin for this exact feature, only a static banner one that looks ugly and nothing like a real banner since it’s not full-width (Astra’s logo also can’t be full-width, so there’s always a blank space on the sides, and that’s my gripe with it… I’d live without a randomized banner if the logo could be full-width).

I understand. And we do accept feedback from users sending in feature requests. This isn’t something that we’ve heard quite often.

But as mentioned, we are always open to feedback and will definitely take this across to our team to look into it. If at all we come across many such requests, we will think about it in the near future. ??
