• This is the same problem I had with Woo’s official warranty plugin, and why I’m looking for a replacement. Warranties only deal with repairs. They don’t deal with refunds or replacements. Those are handled under a return policy, which is separate from the warranty. A return policy only lasts 30 days or less, while a warranty normally lasts for a year or more.

What you need to do is have separate forms for returns and warranties since as it stands now when you try to do a warranty request you are forced to select refund or replacement, even though, as I said, these are not options on warranties. Only repairs are options on warranties. This goes for all companies not just mine.

You should create a ‘return’ button next to orders that is used for the refund and replacement options then have the ‘request warranty’ button which is used for actual warranty requests where someone is looking to have their product repaired under warranty.

Then you can add a return period setting and after that time has passed the ‘return’ button disappears from the order since after that time has passed a return is no longer possible, although a warranty will still be possible, so the ‘request warranty’ button will still show.
