Stop Inline Styling on Tables

  • Is there a way to turn off the inline styling or anything styling made by Advanced Editor Tools on tables? I have turned off the ability to drag table elements to try to prevent this but for some reason, it keeps sneaking in from time to time at random. I want to control the theming for the tables with the Theme’s CSS and the changes being made by the editor of course take precedence because they are directly on the element.

    Here’s my solution.

    function tiny_mce_table_options( $initArray ) {
    $initArray['invalid_styles'] = '{
        "table": "height",
        "tr": "width height",
        "th": "width height",
        "td": "width height"
    }';

    return $initArray;
}
add_filter( 'tiny_mce_before_init', 'tiny_mce_table_options' );
