Hi Folks at Toast Seo (WordPress SEO) .

Hope you guys will be enjoying well while I am creating this issue as the whole support forum is flooded with this issue and there is no solution to it .

Most of the plugin users are now compelled to deactivate yoast seo to update there posts many times a day .

People are switching to twenty seven theme deactivating plugins to find conflict and at the end we are left hopeless and helpless .

Let me know is it a marketing strategy to get users stuck with the free version and tell them to buy premium or there is a general solution available for all the free users .

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello Krishnakant,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The 504 error is an HTTP status code that means your server did not receive a timely response while attempting to load the web page or fill another request by the browser. In some other cases, it could be due to DNS issues, a slow server, firewalls, or proxy server connection issues. Since we are not familiar with your server configuration, we suggest contacting your web hosting provider and ask them to look at the server error log to investigate what might be causing this error. Can you inform us of the results?

Thanks for Quick Support .It’s my own dedicated server and have been configured by me . I have checked and everything is correctly setup . Even if I am allowing 1 hour as request timeout time what this yoast plugin is trying to do doesn’t ends and throws a 504 error with classic editor . And if I do use Gutenberg editor the issue changes to Update failed Invalid Json Response .

This is plugin’s bad behaviour nothing else and is being continuously reported by users with no solution so I have started this thread . People are migrating to Rankmath Seo and the same I will do .

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with more information. We appreciate it. We want to take a closer look.

While we were unable to reproduce the issue in our test environment, we expect few more information about your setup. This might help us replicate the issue on our end:

    1. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO 16.7? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    3. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.8? Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more:?https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

    4. Check if your setup meets our plugin requirements? If not, please update them and recheck.

    4. The most likely cause of it to occur is incorrect URL settings in WordPress or broken permalinks. Can you confirm by checking each of the other possible causes of this problem highlighted in this article?

We look forward to hearing from you.

We are sorry to hear the issue still persists, @krishnakant888. Due to the nature of the issue, we’ll need to take a look at your setup. However, we are unable to do it here as this is a public forum.

So, if you have an active Yoast SEO Premium subscription or if you can consider buying one, we can investigate the issue further directly on your setup privately through email.

However, if you don’t wish to get the Yoast SEO Premium subscription, that’s completely fine. In this case, you’ll need to troubleshoot the issue further on your setup as we are literally out of any clue at this moment without taking a look at the setup. So, someone from the community might step forward as well who has experienced or is familiar with the issue.

    Thanks for your understanding!
