    Hi there,

at the moment I am trying to optimize my PageSpeed Insights results. As suggested by Google I adressed the issue of render blocking with the above the fold solution your plugin offers. But for some reason the code I put into the “above the fold”-area doesn’t show up in my source code. And apart from the fact that my site now looks messy before the actual css is loaded, my CLS result in the Pagespeed test gets messed up as well.

Do you have an idea what might be going wrong here?

    Thanks and greetings!
    Joe

Without a URL to investigate the page source, based on previous experience my educated guess would be some other component (plugin? mod_pagespeed?) is removing the inline CSS maybe?

    Hi Frank,

I deactivated a couple of plugins – without any effect.

But do I actually need your “above the fold”-area? Isn’t it the same as putting the CSS directly into the header.php? So can I just put my CSS into the header.php or even better use ACF for putting different CSS into pages, posts, categories and so on in order to get the same result as putting my CSS in your plugin?

    EDIT:
I found the plugin which caused the problem – WP Fastest Cache :D…after deactivating this plugin everything works fine, but my results in Pagespeed get worse. Any idea what to do in order to keep this plugin activated and still be able to use your “above the fold”-function?

simply disable all CSS-related (and JS-related) options in WPFC and all should be fine ??
