Have you tried their method to embed the video?

Hi Ralph @hiyottaunits thank you for the suggestion. I just tried this, following their directions (I think? I did this one: Shortcodes can be used in a text area in pages, posts, sliders and widget areas. Enable debug mode to view the page shortcode.) but what I still get is a black area where a video should be and in the top of it is the URL to the video that should be embedded. Any idea what this means?

Hi @learningwp35 – I suggest you deactivate all plugins and check if that embedded video works. Sometimes the issues come from the conflicts of the plugins. Anytime.

You can insert video element into your page without using shortcode. Maybe you can try any YouTube. If it works, the problem might be the Enfold theme doesn’t support Instagram video yet.

Hi @learningwp35 – I forgot to say even the theme’s video element doesn’t support Instagram, you still can embed that video. You can follow the steps.

Hi, Ralph @hiyottaunits thanks for all your helpful hints. I tried using the embed link (thanks–I had forgotten about that since I don’t need to use it on my other website/theme). IN the back end I can see a sort of shadow of the Instagram video posts I am trying to embed but when I preview the page they show up with an error message that the video can’t be viewed.

And I watched the tutorial and read the article. YouTube works perfectly, so I am going to try to find a support area for the theme Enfold, because you may be right that they just don’t offer Instagram video embedding yet. Thanks again!
