    Hi Tobias,

I’m trying to get the automatic import running, but I’m failing.

I have CSV files that are generated elsewhere. I am able to sucessfully import these CSV files manually into tablepress. When doing so, I’m using the “Datei auf dem Server” option. This runs perfectly fine.

However if I copy the full path name, that I used for the manual import and try to add this in the “Auto Import Tables” sections with “Active”, “CSV” and “File on server” I get an “Fehler: Die Import-Quelle ist ungültig oder es konnte nicht auf sie zugegriffen werden.”, when I try to save the config.

Does the Auto Import require other/more Unix permissions than the manual import process? File permissions allow read access for user, group and other …

    Any pointers welcome,
    Tom

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Just to be sure, are you using the Save button at the bottom of the page (there’s another one besides the normal “Import” button). Otherwise, I can’t really see why you are getting that error message immediately…

    Tobias

    Hi Tabias,

yes, I’m using the “Save Auto Import Configuration” button on the Import tab underneath the list of tables.

The CSV files are owned by root, but have read perm for all. As said, I can run the CSV import manually without any issues.

    Hi Tom,

If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please get in touch via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Just for documentation purposes:

After an investigation with Tobias it turned out, that the error message was misleading and the root cause was a limitation in the PHP settings for posting form data, namely the setting of ‘max_input_vars’. In my install it was set to 1000, increasing it to 3000 solved my issue.

Thanks Tobias for your excellent support!
