    Hi,

at the moment we have the problem that a manual added discount will be deleted after an update in the order.

    Any idea why?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi @burkhartengineering

Can you share the steps you are taking from order creation to adding the discount please so we can try to replicate this behaviour on our end?

For example, are the orders being manually created, and if so, is the discount being added in product price or using a coupon?

We will be standing by for your response.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

thank you for the fast reply.

The order was created manually and the discount was added by changing the product price. When I calculate the new price, everything is fine (new product price is updated and the discount is shown on the product below the product price). When I have to change something in the address field or when I add a new product, the discount is deleted after a refresh/update.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks, Johannes

    Hi @burkhartengineering

I’m not able to replicate this issue on my test site.

The steps I am following to test this:

    1. Manually create an order
    2. Add item to the order and change the item price.
    3. Recalculate the price.
    4. Add the customer’s details.
    5. Save the order.
    6. Add another item to the order, change the price and recalculate.
    7. Edit the customer’s details and save the order again.

Each time, the discounted prices for both the first and second item I add remain unaffected.

If you are using different steps, can you please let me know.

Otherwise this kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Thanks!
