1. We set up the new SG Security plugin yesterday and turned on the toggle for the Disable the “admin” Username capability. Nothing happened at the time.
2. This morning the admin username is still present.
3. After trying to disable the toggle in SG Security > Login Security > Disable the “admin” Username the modal popped up to Change the “admin” username.
4. After entering the new username and clicking Confirm the following is displayed:
ERROR
Failed to Disable the “admin” Username
5. The toggle in SG Security for Disable the “admin” Username remains turned on.

Where can we find more detail on this error and guidance on how to either a) resolve the error and disable the admin username, or b) toggle off this feature in SG Security?

Follow up note – after navigating back to the the WordPress Dashboard > Users > All Users page, the admin username has in fact been renamed, even though the SG Security plugin repeatedly showed the error indicating that it could not be updated.

Please advise on what the error indicated, and how we may turn off the toggle as mentioned above. Thank you.

Hey @elainesummit

This seems like a temp issue.

I’ve done several tests and everything is working as expected. Could you please try again now and let us know if the issue, still exists.

Regards,
Stanimir
