Would I use Flutter or Magic Fields or Custom Fields

I would like to have set up a link on posts that would act like the “Source” links at the bottom of each post on https://www.engadget.com/. I am not sure if I should use something as complicated as Flutter or MF or if Custom Fields will work for this.

I know I need the key/value relationship, but I need to put link in the value. Can I do that with CF? Ideally I would like to have the text editor bar on the value field to make it easier for my client to post those links themselves. Is that possible?

On the matter of Flutter or Magic Fields: which is the best one to use? I understand that MF is a branch of Flutter, but does it keep pace with upstream changes from Flutter?
