It could be nice, when first opening the Submissions tab to have just a list of all recent submissions. I realize it probably couldn’t show any of the fields, but the ID, date/time stamp and what form/poll/quiz it was generated from would be nice.

I realize it would only save a couple mouse-clicks, but could be a nice convenience.

And what about being able to somehow pick which fields show up on the list of submissions? For example, my main field I’d like to be able to scan thru that list by would probably be Company Name, but since I’m typically asking for name and something else before that because it flows better in filling out the form, it’s never going to be one of the first fields that are then shown in the submissions list.

Anyways, still poking around and learning about what this can do, thanks for a good product.

    HI @mcnee

    I hope you’re well today!

That’s a nice idea. I think the reason for this not being implemented yet is mostly that it raises some performance concerns – on sits with a large numer of forms and/or submissions and/or complex forms it could possibly add some noticeable load. On the other hand, if the list was either nicely pages or it was e.g “last 10” or “last 100” submissions only with only a limited number of selected fields, it would probably work just fine.

And what about being able to somehow pick which fields show up on the list of submissions?

You can already do this by filtering submissions – if you click on “Filter” icon (top right part of submissions page after form is selected) and switch “Display fields” to “Specified fields” you can enable/disable which fields would be displayed.

But these filters are not persistent so they have to be set each time you go to submissions. I suppose you mean it to be more like “screen options” e.g. on “Posts” or “Pages” pages in wp-admin – where you can just select some specific columns to be displayed in post list. Am I on a right track?

I’ve already passed your suggestions to our Forminator Team for future consideration so “fingers crossed” ??

    Best regards,

I was thinking more along the lines of a couple dropdowns, maybe on the settings tab for an individual form. Primary/Secondary Display Field or something, you select which field is used to be displayed when listing submissions that way or something?

Thanks for the tip on the filtering, I hadn’t played with that much. It may be helpful, but only if I never want to see any of the fields that are listed before company (in my use case). Maybe another way to do it would allow for a save of those filters to be made persistent, but would also have to allow for re-ordering of the fields.

    Hi @mcnee

Thank you for the feedback and request.

Thank you, we do have plans to add some universal settings, maybe allowing users to configure the default filter along with similar dropdown options on the submission side would be a nice feature for the plugin.

We already sent this thread to our developers and designers for further discussion.

Don’t have a need for e-signatures, so going to try and see if I can get our company to get Snapshot Pro or something as a way to support you guys.
