I’m trying to translate a DIVI site (child theme) with Translatepress. It works kind of ok, but I can not find a way to translate global elements, such as footers, headers and such. Can it be done, and how?

Also, it seems impossible to translate telephone numbers, so that it gets international syntax in some languages.

    Hi,

What exactly do you mean? The strings in those areas are not selectable? Or do you want to have different footers, headers for different languages? This can be done with our restrict by language integrations (see our documentation about this https://translatepress.com/docs/translatepress/)?

As for the numbers, those can be translated if the Translate numbers and numerals option from TP Settings –> Advanced tab is activated.

    Thanks!
What I want to do is to translate the footer global element in only one place, and not in every page where it is inserted. It would hope it could be some automatic use of the translated footer block according to which language is active.

    Hi,

As soon you have the same strings in multiple places on your website, as soon translate one string, the rest will receive the same translation. This is how our plugin works, being a string-based one.

You can try to give them different classes and exclude those using the advance exclude functions from TP Settings –> Advanced tab in order to not receive translations.
