Can I modify templates and css code without worrying about updates?

  • This is just a general question. I know that escapade is a child theme of Primer. Does this mean that I can change the templates html and css code like I would be able to do if I created my own child theme? Does the escapade theme get updated? or just the Primer theme gets updated?

    You are able to make changes to the Escapade theme in the same manner you would do with any other child theme.

    Updates for a child theme are normally only minor as most of the code is still served from a parent theme(Primer in this case). That being said, you would be best off keeping only the Primer theme up to date to avoid canceling out the changes on the Escapade theme.
