Directory for Game Products

I recently migrated part of my site to WordPress, and am in the process of moving everything else over too!

My only problem now is I previously used a component in Joomla called mosets tree to maintain my game pages, thing is I have been unable to find anything similar for wordpress.

Does anyone know of a plugin which allows for a directory type effect and allows for custom fields, so that I can add stuff such as release dates, esrb rating, etc etc etc

Else in the very least, can anyone guide my as to where I could find documentation on writing a plugin, since I am a programmer by day (or should I say night lol).
