new installtion in sub directory

  • Hey there

    I have installed the latest version of WordPress in a sub-directory
    and used a new administrator username and password, but I’m not be
    able to log in.

  • Please contact your web hosting provider to reset the admin area password for you and then have a try.

    WordPress doesn’t (yet) allow you to select your own username and password when you’re installing WP.

    It should have told you that the login name was admin and the password was <something>. Did you get that far or are you somewhere else in the install process?

    Which version of wordpress are you using?

    Hi,

    I used the username and password from my domain host to set up a new
    installation of wordpress in the sub-directory and it works fine.
    I didn’t understand what was meant by “the administrator.”
