Hi, how do you allow subscribers to upload an image of themselves by using this plugin?

@ekeily our team recently flagged that Subscriber previews are not working (though I believe things still “work” otherwise for that role). We’re working on reviewing a fix for that and should have it in our next minor release. Feel free to subscribe to this issue in GitHub for further updates: https://github.com/10up/simple-local-avatars/issues/73.

Adding to Jeff’s comment above, you can allow subscribers to upload avatars by enabling Local Upload Permissions under Admin dashboard > Settings > Discussion.

Can you give me some more details on how to do this, please?

@ekeily in the WordPress Admin, click on the Settings menu, then Discussion, scroll down to the bottom, check the Local Upload Permissions, and click the Save Changes button. See the highlighted option here: https://cloudup.com/cJ7FTc3W4Yi
