• Don’t use this if you are using Elementor – it’s plagued with issues with how it integrates.

If you want it to work with any kind of basic elementor page template you’re out of luck, you can’t even pull in a site title! There are some very basic elementor widgets but these are basic and you may as well use shortcode.

But the real issue is that if you use these you need to use it with Elementor Canvas which is a blank page. You can’t use a page template.

As for the other tools….Promoter doesn’t work (avoid at all costs) and support for that is totally non-existent which renders the entire suite of plugins useless for us.

We are now looking at Modern Events Calendar by Webnus which has active customer support and a great integration with Elementor.

    Hi @pinkgerbil

I’m sorry to hear you’ve had a bad experience with our plugins so far. If you have encountered issues, our support and dev team would love to hear about them in detail, so we can take a look and fix them.

As for Elementor, the native widgets provided give an easy way to use the calendar on your website. You can find all the details about that in this article:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/native-elementor-widgets-for-events-calendar-pro/

Of course, it is also possible to use the shortcodes if that’s better for your use case.

Designing a single event page with Elementor is not yet possible, however, it is on our roadmap and we hope to be able to provide that soon as well.

I understand if you decide to change your calendar to a different one. As I said, would still be happy to hear about the issues you have encountered so we can possibly address them in a future release.

Thanks for giving The Events Calendar a try and for taking the time to leave a review and give us some feedback!

    Cheers,
    Andras

It’s working with Elementor’s Page Templates that is the issue, not styling individual entries.

For example, if I make a page template consisting of a Header, dynamic Site Title, dynamic Description, dynamic Featured image – this will not work with Modern Tribe’s Event Calendar.

Event Calendar doesn’t pull titles through or anything else.

The same with the archive pages for the main calendar.

This is quite a basic need, and every other plugin can pass the page title and meta descriptions over.

    Hi @pinkgerbil

We understand that this would be a great feature. Making The Events Calendar work with Elementor templates is on our roadmap, we do want to make this happen down the road. Hopefully, we will get there soon.

Thank you so much for the feedback and the details.

    Best,
    Andras
