    Trying to connect things and…

    “STEP ONE

    Set up your accounts
Connect your WordPress.com account, Google account, and Google Merchant Center account to use Google Listings & Ads.”

There’s only one button to push to move forward and I get error message:

“Unable to connect your WordPress.com account. Please try again later.”

I tried later, didn’t work. I also tried to log in to WordPress.com with several different accounts and also while not logged in at all.

There’s something wrong and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, so more suggestions and details on how to move past this point would be helpful. Thanks!

    Hi @teemuee

Thanks for the message and sorry to hear of your difficulties.

Just to confirm – did you click the button to connect your WordPress.com connect, followed the details to connect on WordPress.com and then when redirected back to your site you get the error you mentioned?

Do you have any security or caching extensions on your site that block jetpack or rest API?

When I go to https://smartersurfaces.fi/wp-json I can see the route is blocked.

Thanks for the feedback, we’re seeing what edge cases users are running into and will improve our suggestions.

    Cheers,

Just to clarify – GLA doesn’t require Jetpack but it uses the same connection functionality to communicate with WordPress.com
