SEO: duplicate meta descriptions

Hi there,

i have an issue which Google hates. Whenever I add a meta description to a tag, the result will be that my page (tag archive) will produce duplicate meta descriptions and not just some but hundreds of them.

Not adding a meta description will casue the opposite issue, Google will say I dont have a meta description for the tag page.

Any idea what I can do?
