Copy Paste icons can’t access clipboard on Firefox

Using latest release of Firefox (89.0). Tried using WordPress icons for Copy and Paste highlighted text, and after Paste got error message “Your browser does not support direct access to the clipboard. Please use keyboard shortcuts or your browser’s edit menu instead.”
I can not find any settings in Firefox that establish such an access restriction.
