• Hello,

When a user selects an attribute-based or tag-based filter (“Baby Sizes -> Preemie” on linked page, for example), the selection of products and other filter options is reduced as we would expect. This is the desired behavior.

When a user selects a category-based filter (“Twins -> Boys” on linked page, for example), the available filters do not reduce at all. In fact, it’s possible to select two categories where there are no overlapping products in both categories. For example, select Twins -> Boys and Triplets -> Boys. These two categories combine with OR instead of AND.

    Please advise!

    Hello,

Different filters with same taxonomy(product category in your case) will work always as single filter.
There is no difference between two values inside “Twins” filter and Twins -> Boys and Triplets -> Boys.

You can do one of those things:
    1) Set operator “AND” for both “Twins” and “Triplets” filters, but values inside single filter also will work with operator AND.
    2) Use different taxonomy/attribute for each filter.

    Regards,
    Oleg
