As a quick fix we have developed a custom code for this issue. Please add this code snippet to your theme’s functions.php file.

add_action( 'wp_footer', function () {
	if ( wp_script_is( 'jquery', 'done' ) ) {
		?>
		<script type="text/javascript">
			document.addEventListener( 'play', function ( e ) {
				jQuery( 'video' ).each( function ( i, video ) {
					if ( jQuery( video ).prop( 'id' ) === jQuery( e.target ).prop( 'id' ) ) {
						return;
					}
					video.pause();
				} );
			}, true );
		</script>
		<?php
	}
} );

Please note that this code is added to all files on frontend, so it’ll stop parallel video playing on all pages.
