I’m trying to schedule a newsletter. It says, “You need to authorize…” the email address I’m sending from. But the email has already been authorized, and when I click on the “Authorize my email address” link, it shows as authorized! What’s wrong?

  • I am having the same issue. How do we overcome this?

    Hi @sherorpen,

I’m checking your account associated with the website christiansciencefortworth.com and I see you have two email addresses authorized there.

Also, your subscription has been approved already on April 22nd. Can you please let us know if you’re still facing this issue?

Yes, I’m still getting the same message. I see what you see, that the subscription has been approved and I have two authorized email addresses, and yet when I try to schedule the newsletter distribution, I’m still getting the message that I have to authorize my email address. Feels like I’m stuck in an infinite loop!

@sherorpen, could you please confirm you have updated the plugin to the latest version and that your task scheduler is working as expected?

Also, is your activation key showing as valid when you go to the MailPoet > Settings > Key Activation tab and click on the “Verify” button?

I keep plugins updated so yes, I have the latest version. I’m not sure how to check if the “task scheduler is working as expected.” How would I do that?

You can check if the task scheduler is working in MailPoet -> Help -> System Status.

Are you still having issues regarding this? Did you have a moment to check if the activation key was showing as “valid” as Bruna asked?

Thanks. Yes, the task scheduler is working and showing no errors. And yes, it says the activation key is valid. (Also, MailPoet Sending Service is active and MailPoet Premium is active.)

I just tried scheduling the email again and got the same message saying I need to “authorize this email address.” So I’ve done everything correctly, as far as I can tell, and am still getting the same error.

    Hi there @sherorpen,

Can you please ensure that the MailPoet key that you’re using in MailPoet > Settings > Key Activation matches the MailPoet account where your FROM Address is authorized?

Here’s where you can see your authorized FROM addresses: https://account.mailpoet.com/authorization

And here are your keys: https://account.mailpoet.com/account

Another thing to check is if you’re using the FROM address all lower case.

Can you please share a screenshot of the page where you see the error? Please ensure both the error message and the FROM address setting.

    Cheers!

    (@sherorpen)

Yes, the FROM address is authorized and the key is what’s showing in my account.

But the next item appears to be where the problem was. I was showing the FROM account with some key words as initial caps. When I changed those to all lowercase, the scheduling went through.

Thanks so much for this clue. It was driving me crazy! All’s well now.

    Hi there @sherorpen,

I’m glad to hear that the issue is resolved now ??

Enjoy the rest of your day and stay safe!
