Hi! I have 364 identical notifications with this text:
Make sure you don’t miss out on traffic!
You just trashed a Page. Search engines and other websites can still send traffic to your deleted post. You should create a redirect to ensure your visitors do not get a 404 error when they click on the no longer working URL. With Yoast SEO Premium, you can easily create such redirects.

I deleted all 364, one at a time. When I returned to the page, every one of them was back.

I am on the current version of Yoast, 16.2, and this has been ongoing for a while but is getting worse over time. It seems that each time I refresh, all hundreds of notifications for everything that has ever been deleted reappear anew.

    Hello @danielmount

We are sorry to hear about your issue with the notifications that keep on reappearing.

If you click on the eye icon with a slash on it, it should move the notifications to the hidden notifications. Are you getting this behavior?

Please note though that it’s not possible to completely get rid of the notifications. But if they keep on showing after moving them to the hidden notifications, we suggest clearing all cache from any caching plugins, the server, or any CDN like Cloudflare.

We’ve cleared the cache, contacted our caching provider (NitroPack), and contacted our host (WPEngine) to clear things like object cache as well. And we still have so many notifications that if we try to print our main Yoast SEO admin area to PDF it’s a 315-page document. So it’s really a bit more than a minor nuisance here, but something that makes it incredibly inefficient to use the plugin.

Thanks for your confirmation. We are sorry to hear about the inconsistent notification experience that you’re currently experiencing on your website.

Can you please try disabling and re-enabling the Yoast SEO plugin temporarily on your website to see whether this improves anything for you??

We look forward to hearing from you.

That actually worked! Thank you so much!
