    Hi there,

    I’d like to alter the look of the text which features in my secondary menu/primary 2. Is this an option in the standard plug in?

    And if so, is it actually referenced as ‘sub menu’?

    thank you.

    Hi,

    What exactly do you want to do to the text in the menu and can you please explain what you mean by “secondary menu”? Do you mean a sub-menu or the social icon menu in the footer?

    Why don’t you install the plugin to see if it does what you want? ??

    Thank you @domainsupport ??

    I do have the plug in installed. The Twenty Twenty One theme calls the menus primary, primary 2 and secondary. There is no reference to a sub menu.

    The Options plug in makes reference to ‘sub menu’ but I can’t see anything in the Customiser to primary 2 or secondary. There is an option for social icon menu in the footer, but that’s not what I want to change.

    I was considering changing the weight or colour of the font of the secondary menu which is located at the bottom of my home page.

    It’s not critical. I can play around and see what happens. It was more understanding the terminology between sub menu and the primary/secondary 2.

    thank you!

    OK, so Twenty Twenty-One has a “Primary” menu (in the header) and a “Secondary” menu (in the footer, for the social icons).

    Sub-menus are not generally separate menus, but refer to dropdown menus within a menu.

    Are you using the “Social / Secondary” menu as a menu for normal menu items or are you inserting a Menu widget into the Widget area of the footer?

    Can you share a link to your site so we can see what you are doing?

    Thanks,

    Oliver

    I’m using the Social/Secondary menu as a menu for the normal menu items (in the footer I guess!). That makes more sense now. No widgets involved.

    OK, sure. So there’s no sub-menu anyway for that menu.

    The colour of the links can be changed using “Customizer – Footer Options – Footer Link Color”.

    Add this to “Customizer – Additional CSS” to modify the weight …

    .footer-navigation-wrapper {
    font-weight: bold;
    }

    You can find the valid settings for font-weight here.

    Let me know if that works for you and we’ll look at adding a slider to modify the weight of the text in the Secdary Menu.

    No problem at all. I’ll update this thread when the option has been added.

    Just to update this thread, we have added the “Customizer – Footer Options – Footer Nav Font Weight” to the latest version of the plugin.
